Disaster Relief - New Orleans 10-19-10-22-06

JW Relief Congress Hub-New Orleans LA. Post Katrina Recovery Efforts
I had an opportunity this past weekend to go back to do some more on the relief effort for our brothers and sister. Approx. 20 friends from Region 9 RBC here traveled for a week of work. Many of those going were with us in April (scroll down the blog for pix and the story)when we worked for 7 days in Lake Charles LA.
Some Pix of the Hub-this site is completely self contained with 3 hot meals per day, morning worship each day, a shower trailer and complete offices including, logistics, personnel, first aid, construction equip storage, etc.

More pix of the Hub

The Hub had its own self contained shower trailer!

Darlenes sister Melissa and her husband Jeff have a super weekend house (they live in honolulu)on the north shore of oahu. it was built in the 50's and has been in jeffs family ever since. we had a wonderful weekend there with Melissa, Jeff and their 3 kids. Austin got a chance to boogie board and snorkel on the reef about 50' from where he slept. it was really cool, we bbq'd each night and drank some good wine watching the sunset!
