OK, a little more about social hour and the food

Saturday we finished up work early. this wasn't hard to convince anyone as we were all spent and very intrigued by what we were seeing and hearing but not having seen the worst or heard any verifiable facts. We headed south to Cameron as mentioned before. On the way home we needed to have our "safety meeting" which is a Region 9 Framing Team tradition at projects. Our 'safety meetings' consist of a short lecture on the proper eating of pizza and beer! We had to find the Italian restaurant in town! Shazam, there was Deangelos! They didn't know what hit them. 16 of us, very thirsty and ready to chow down. Turns out the place had great food. We stayed late and had a great time! A few of the other diners wanted to know what we were "celebrating" so we were able to explain who we were and what we were doing. What a super witness.

Sunday was the "last supper" and it had to be local fare! We went to Steamboat Bills for Louisiana seafood. Aaron and I shared 5lbs of boiled crawfish and 1lb of boiled shrimp. I know you are thinking 5lbs of crawfish! yikes! 5lbs of crawfish translates to about 3/4 lb of meat. If you haven't had crawfish they look just
like little new england lobsters. You twist of the head, suck out the juice and eat the meat from the tail. If it is big enough there is meat in the claws. Good stuff! Crawfish, shrimp, red beans and rice and a boudin ball (local sausage with who knows what in it) and a Heineken-ok 2- was all I needed. Everyone had a great time and Lou and Dave were gracious enough to pick up the tab- how cool is that! I would gladly travel with any one of these bros and sister again! Sunday night we went back to the house for another session of "history with Lou" to learn more about the early days of Jehovahs Witnesses and some cool, not commonly known, stories about Pastor Russell and Judge Rutherford! AWESOME stuff! Ever here about Beth Sarim? if not, i will have to share some not next time i see you!
