More pix of the devastation and what we have heard

well here is what we have heard. This will be edited, updated as I get more info. Dave Wilson from Oregon was our Logistics Overseer and he is going to send me some additional details/facts.

1. There are 4 Regional Building Relief Offices set up. Florida, Houston, Baton Rouge (ours) and Mississippi. Each of the 4 regions has approximately 9 hubs functioning under it. The pix I show on the blog of the food service tent and the KH are our hub. Our hub coordinates efforts for a radius of approx. 75-100 miles. I presume the others are the same.
2. There is a specific process that the RBC uses to assess and plan for the needs following a disaster like this. Each friend in need is asked for info on their needs, a RBC member is sent to evaluate and then the needs and priorities are set. Once priorities are set a work order is generated. The work order is assigned to an RBC captain who oversees the work until finalized or passed off to another group (usually if the captain and his team are leaving town). There have been thousands of work orders generated just through the Baton Rouge office and this does not even include New Orleans. More to follow tomorrow-I need to get to bed.

ps, look at the last picture here- double click on it and look closely and you will see a Deer head mount sitting up in the tree. This home was torn apart and blown far from its foundation. There are beds, fridges etc. All over the place. Apparently the owner was a deer hunter and one of his trophies got stuck in a tree.

Remember when looking at these pix that this is what is left after nearly 7 months of clean up!!!!
