Also uncle Lou stands on a pile of cinder block blown over like matchsticks-completely reinforced block with cement and rebar just pummled. Every corner you could see damage and piles of debris. After seven months of clean up there is still amazing amounts of carnage to be seen. You can only imagine what this area looked like the week after Rita hit.

This is a nearby beach which was completely devastated. There are power poles back up as you can see in the background but none of the homes and shops that were there.
