Food Service

We had some pretty good grub. It was actually strange to come home and think about cooking. Each day started with morning with breakfast at 6:30am in the tent followed by 7am morning worship. The brothers from South Carolina serving food had a great sense of humor. They baked biscuits in the shape of each state represented that week. We had bbq chicken, smoked pork chops and the night before we arrived they cooked a whole pig. breakfasts were standard fare of pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage and grits or oatmeal. Lunches came by what they referred to as "meals on wheels' which was local sisters driving meals out to the locations we were working on. Dinner was served each eve early around 5pm. Each of our groups was assigned to a congregation for meetings. Ours was on Tuesday night so we missed it as we arrived late that night.

fortunately we missed out on the pickeled pig lips we saw at WalMart

PS, they even had a trailer just for washing dishes! wow-
